AD&D Goblin
This is a goblin from one of the old AD&D "original miniature" boxes. Even at the time these minis came out (1984) they were of rather mediocre quality compared to the then general standard. This guy is no exception to this rule. His left eye is bulging and almost twice as big as the right one. So I painted it up as swollen and diseased. I originally tried red, but on the orange skin, this didn't show up well, so I used green instead, which worked out better.
The unpainted figure. No, he is not covered in the gravel up to his knees, his legs are that short. Looking at the proportions of this figure, you'd mean he would be better off, walking on his arms.
After applying the basic color and putting in shades with variyng coats of ink the bulging left eye is well visible.

At this angle the bulging eye and the greenish, diseased flesh around it can be seen best. The diseased eye must be hurting this guy like hell. No wonder he seems to be in such a bad mood.
